Medication Management

Medication Management

Taking the Right Medication Dramatically Affects Quality of Life.

Many residents become increasingly frustrated with the amount of medication they may have to take in order to live a normal life. But rather than looking at it as a setback, we strive to remind our patients of how pivotal it can be to feeling healthy and alive. Cheltenham Oaks Assisted Living makes it a priority to accurately and regularly assist patients with their medication management: ensuring that it is working as intended and being taken as suggested. We offer certified doctors and pharmacists to better assist your loved one with their medical needs.

YOUR SAFETY IS IN GOOD HANDS.
ONLY DESIGNATED INDIVIDUALS ARE ALLOWED TO ASSIST WITH MEDICATIONS.

There are many rules that come with assisted living that are meant to regulate the types of care provided. However, these rules are put in place to protect you and ensure that you are always getting the proper care from a medically trained expert. We work closely with medical experts to ensure that you are taking the correct medications at the right times and at the right dosage.

This can be especially useful when tending to our memory care patients, who can innocently forget their medications due to their unfortunate impairment. Our experts on staff keep a carefully made schedule to ensure that patients are taking their medication, and also as a precaution to avoid overdosing on any drugs that might otherwise be dangerous to your health.

We also take care to note changes in the way you feel, and consult medical professionals in regards to changes in your condition, which may require revisions to your prescription. Our efforts are meant to assist you in improving your quality of life, so that you can focus on being healthy and living normally within the community.

PATIENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE MEDICATION

Cheltenham Oaks Assisted Living has the goal of improving your quality of life, but cannot legally force you to consume your prescribed medications. We respect your ability to make informed decisions, but may also reserve the right to discharge patients who directly disobey the instruction of their doctor due to the potential risks of worsening a condition.
